@johnbiggs @criptodiana John, your publication has had it out for Dash since forever, with the most biased reporting in the space. Most of the time, Coindesk simply ignores Dash. On the rare occasion it does cover Dash, it reports negatively skewed or patently false information. Want some examples?
@johnbiggs @criptodiana How about the time Dash got relisted on Bitfinex? The article focused on the low volume we had when first listed in 2014! "We'll see if this time it's able to retain its listing" or something to the effect. Was sure to say "the coin previously known as Darkcoin".
@johnbiggs @criptodiana This was perfectly good news for Dash, and Coindesk was the ONLY publication to cover it in such a negative light.
@johnbiggs @criptodiana This latest headline portrays me personally in a light that makes me look dishonest. I stand by my statement. Dash is THE MOST USED CRYPTO in Venezuela. Your article provides no facts that contradict that. Bitcoin is a close second, but more locations accept Dash than Bitcoin.
@johnbiggs @criptodiana In the locations that accept both, we've seen the data. I told Diana some of the actual facts from payment processors. Most months Dash is either ahead of or neck and neck with Bitcoin in both transaction counts and payment volume. Instead she included annecdotes.
@johnbiggs @criptodiana None of which make the case that another crypto is used more often than Dash. Again, there is no evidence presented in the article that contradicts my statement that Dash is the most used cryptocurrency. Look at the responses to the article...
@johnbiggs @criptodiana Could ANY other cryptocurrency offer that much evidence of adoption? Which one? So don't effectively call into question my statement, fail to back up your claim, and expect no response. This has been going on for years.
@johnbiggs @criptodiana Did you cover ChainLocks? The innovation that eliminates chain reorgs including eliminates the possibility of a 51% attack? Did you cover LLMQs, BLS signatures that enable every Dash transaction to be instant, AND instantly respendable? No.
@johnbiggs @criptodiana Instead, Coindesk waits for anything it can find to spin in a negative light. That is the only coverage you've ever provided to Dash. Send me ONE article Coindesk has written in the past three years that is remotely neutral. You can't, because one has never been written.
@johnbiggs @criptodiana I don't know what Coindesk's agenda is against Dash, but the Dash community is just going to keep doing what we're doing... building the best payment network in the industry. We're #1 or #2 on every payment platform we're on.
@johnbiggs @criptodiana Dash is one of the only cryptos that grew transaction counts during crypto winter. Those are the facts. If Coindesk ever becomes interested in facts, reach out again for another story. Meantime, we'll be going back to working with partners and building tech that matters.
