BS. Once again, time to use the Bible to slam the cherry-picking cafeteria "Christians" ...

@libertycounsel 2...start off with, the Bible says literally nothing about what to do in helping gay people, giving products to gay people, hiring gay people. And, contrary to the crappy, "Wish it said this" translations of the Evangelicals, it never says "homosexual." What it does say in...

@libertycounsel 3...the one everyone cites, Leviticus, is that a man who lies with a man blah blah. However, as anyone who reads the Bible knows, Acts makes quite clear that Mosaic law has been supplanted by belief in Christ. Ok, so there are less intense, but still things that could be....

@libertycounsel 4...interpreted to mean gay sex. BUT all of those are combined - in the same frigging sentences - with words about everything else that is also condemned, things that the Evangelicals like Kim Davis don't care about. They think the Bible is "boo gays" because they don't read it..

@libertycounsel 5...take one cited: Timothy 1. Yah, sure it comments on gay sex. But the same sentence condemns the disobedient, liars and drunks. So, for evangelicals who want to use this book of the Bible to condemn homosexuality, most frat boys are committing "sins" on par with being gay....

@libertycounsel 6...but you never hear about those, because these people don't give a DAMN what the Bible says, it is just the cover they use to justify their hatred.

But now let's go to Romans. Once again, sure, let's say it says something about gay sex. In a couple of words in a sentence....

@libertycounsel 7...amid many other condemnations Evangelicals ignore. In the same section, it condemns debating (Cable news is damned?), being prideful, disobeying parents and deceiving people (Oh, Trump will burn) There is no bold print for the section dealing with homosexuality—the Bible....

@libertycounsel 8...treats it as no more sinful than pride, debate, or lying (Fox News is going to hell. We knew that anyway). In one other line that evangelicals also say is about gay sex, the Bible also condemns bringing lawsuits, being greedy, adultery and lying. In other words, Trump....

@libertycounsel 9...but they ignore EVERY OTHER WORD in the SAME SENTENCES and same sections because they WANT to lie and cheat and sue and have adulterous affairs. They're not gay, so THAT is all they cite.

Moving on. The government ordered, through the Supreme Court, for people like Davis...

@libertycounsel 10...to issue marriage licenses. She refused. So, under the Bible she supposedly believes in, she is going to hell.

Again, the real Bible - not the one cited by evangelicals that does not really exist, Romans has one line arguably about homsexuality, and there are eight verses..

@libertycounsel 11...condemning those who criticize the government. In other words, all fundamentalist Christians who ranted and raved about Obama have "sinned" as much as they want to say gay people have....

@libertycounsel 12...More fun, is Romans 13:1-2, which in the International Standard Bible says, "The existing authorities have been established by God, so that whoever resists the authorities opposes what God has established, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves"....

@libertycounsel 13...so yes, Kim Davis and her lawyers have fought against government authorities, opposing what God has established, so in their purported world, they are going to hell.

Now, while the Bible says nothing about gay marriage, it is very clear about divorce and remarriage...

@libertycounsel 14...people often makes the mistake of believing that Jesus condemned divorce. Nope - he condemned remarriage after divorce. In fact, remarrying after divorce is adultery - one of the big ten. You know Kim issued lots of marriage licenses to divorced couples remarrying. Why?....

@libertycounsel 15...because this hypocrite who knows nothing about the Bible has divorced and remarried multiple times. Every day she is still married with her husband is a day she has violated the instructions of Jesus. But that doesnt fit in with the Evangelicals - some of the divorciest...

@libertycounsel 16...Americans they are - because they don't give a damn about what the Bible actually says. It is a fraud, a front, designed to make them feel superior while they mask their hate in false religiosity.

Now, why am I doing this? Because arguing with these hypocrites about...

@libertycounsel 17...human rights and decency and love gets absolutely nowhere. They always fall back on their "Bible" that does not really exist.

So, stop trying to take them on by appealing to humanity and goodness. Rip to shreds for their ignorance of the book they use to justify hate.
