I never really knew how disconnected Bernie Sanders was from actual logic until I watched this interview. The guy has esoteric ideas that have no practical application. via @YouTube
@YouTube I would love to interview or debate Mr. Sanders.

How does your American worker rights program, in combination with your view on automation in the workforce, possibly square with your position for mass open-ended low-skill migration?
@YouTube Bernie: "China has done a lot of great things for their people?"

How does forced sterilization, totalitarian oppression, laws against religion, a surveillance state, and the one-child rules make Chinese people's lives "great"?

The key point here is that Bernie does *NOT* see China an an existential geopolitical threat.

Why not? Because Bernie see's China as the fulfillment of the communist promise.

What Bernie doesn't see, is that every communist promise needs a host to pay for it. That's us!
Bernie doesn't view communist China as a threat, because the promises of communist China are identical to his campaign promises.

The problem is paying for it.

China's economic success was built on the U.S. as the host. This is the flaw in Communist economics. Ask the Soviets.
Beyond the pure economics of communism, the "paying for it" aspect, there's the complete lack of freedom.

If rights are apportioned by the state, you have no liberty; no independent right to strive. This creates citizens as slaves to the state. Bernie & Chairman Xi both support

At the risk of sounding condescending I feel like there are 4 things we should ask in this primary.

1. What are your policies ?

2. Are you proposing them in good faith?

3. Will you be effective in implimenting them?

4. are you fit for office?

This needs unpacking...

So the hardest questions are 2-4.

Whether a politician is seen as operating in good faith is often tied to whether we think a politician is "authentic."

This shit is huuuuuuugely sexist and priveledges men over women.

1. Know your resume like the back of your left hand.

Ever gone for an interview and you blank out when asked the question “tell us about your background?” Don’t worry it happens to most of us.
Or they ask a question related to a part of your resume and you begin with “erm erm”
As simple as it may seem, knowing the entire info on your resume from your objectives to your experience gives you 'un-matchable' confidence.

It’s okay if your resume was drafted by a professional CV writer. You should still take time out to digest its entirety.

How is it POSSIBLE that these folks missed the blue wave which was fundamentally female--driven by women voters?
Not just driven by women voters, but driven by women candidates. Left-leaning women candidates, including WOC who ousted long-time older white male incumbents like....Bernie Sanders.

How is anyone missing this fact?
It's a major reason why Sanders' numbers have plummeted.

Bernie Sanders will not be the democratic nominee in 2020, and that will make a lot of white men have a lot of sads.

So many sads.

They will react with anger at being sad, because masculinity is toxic like that.

And they will lie about why he lost.
They will pretend it is because the person he lost to is moderate or established or the whole thing was rigged or whatever other bullshit nonsense.

they will reuse much of the same oped they are writing about hakeem jeffries and that they wrote about hillary clinton.
They will never admit it is because Bernie Sanders courts a lot of people who anger the base of the democratic party. He talks in a way that alienates much of the base too.

The base is not Greenwald, Ryan Grim, and that dude who Maxine put in a coma.

allow me to explain:

first thing to realize is that compromise usually involved splitting the difference (e.g. arbitration -- if you've ever been privy, you know exactly what i mean).

next you need to understate that starting positions matter
now we come to the republicans..

they know to start out WAY to the right of anything sane

democrats, being slightly more reasonable tend to open with somthing they thing will win the other side over to their POV.

... it ... will ... not ....

so this happens.
after a few years of this (say since 1980) you end up with both parties being FAR to the right of anything that a rational person would consider CENTER

enter #bernie sanders and his populist, moderate policy positions like #medicareforall or raising the minimum wage
