I'm taking a Long Weekend off Twitter. So here's something to remember me by: A few important (simplified) implications of Christopher Langan's Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe (CTMU) (or, "CTMU for Dummies"):

1/The "future" is in communication with the present and the "past" on an equal basis ("cross-temporal telic feedback"). Living moment to moment, this is the easiest thing in the world to forget. If remembered it profoundly affects your actions and choices.

2/CTMU embraces physics but also includes of the *mind of the physicist*. Physics definitionally only studies matter & energy--some physicists transform this into "there is, & can be, *nothing* but matter and energy." And claimed their minds are "emergent" from neuronal firings.

3/Describing mind as "emergent" from neurons & photons striking one's eyeballs is equivalent to a kind of hand waving. Heinlein's Moon is a Harsh Mistress had a supercomputer "wake up" when its connections matched the number in the human brain. Current "AI" theory--in 1966.

4/Langan's statement that the [universe] applies a "'generalized utility function' to its internal existential potential or possible futures" is self-evident (to me). Look at the fossil record, then look in the mirror tomorrow morning.

5/CTMU contains something that "everybody knows" but that "science" as pushed by the "skeptics" tried to deny: YOU are the result of the Universe ("System") creating a means of perceiving itself. This is not original to CTMU. But it's "true" and you know it's why you're here.

6/Please. relax, because "all of time [is] in 'simultaneous self-contact' without compromising ordinality." Eat healthy, lift, love, live and laugh at the Show. If you take Norks, Trump, Progs, BLM, NFL, Brexit, Biden, elections, Twitter *seriously*--you're missing the point./FIN
