.@democracynow hosted US gov't-backed Chinese separatist Martin Lee to discuss the Hong Kong protests. Lee recently met with Pompeo and was given the "Democracy Award" by the US regime change arm National Endowment for Democracy. ned.org/democracy-stor…
At the end of the aired interview, Amy Goodman briefly asked about the US role in the protests but Lee didn't address it and Goodman didn't press him on it. Very weak.
Why didn't @democracynow disclose Martin Lee's links to the US government beyond the meeting with Pompeo? He appeared at the NED just a few months ago. Totally unethical to gloss over this. ned.org/events/new-thr…
