It is awesome, but parenthood adds an extra 4-8 hours to your working day. And that’s if there are no major issues.
And, just spent Labor Day with a few random friends, all of whom, as am I, dealing with critical/end of life parents. Sandwich generation is real, guys.
Anywho I say this because a lot of the prominent male tweeters in the journo/politico space never discuss child and/or elder care and it could be that they are younger and/or more guarded or maybe somebody else is doing that work.

Today is the Punya Thithi of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, noted journalist, freedom fighter, mentor to revolutionaries like Chandra Shekhar Azad, associate of Bhagat Singh, killed on this date by a mob in Kanpur in 1931, during communal riots.
Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi ironically died just 3 days after the hanging of Bhagat Singh, when a protest rally against the execution in Kanpur, turned into an ugly communal riot, and he was killed while trying to contain the riots.
Vidyarthi was the founder editor of the Hindi language newspaper Pratap in Kanpur, also translated Victor Hugo's novel 93 into Hindi. Was a constant source of encouragement for the revolutionaries, and took the British head on through his writings.

And now, because no one asked for it, here are my top eight #editor pet peeves. Style is subjective, and some places allow for more vernacular uses than others. But if I am your editor, no matter where I work, you can bet I will axe the following. Mild snarkiness incoming:
8) “first discovered” – redundant in almost all cases (how do you discover something for the second time?)
7) “centered around” – illogical; you can be “centered on” and you can “revolve around” but they can’t be mashed together

Rationale the judge applied reaching the afore-quoted conclusion seems—to this very non-lawyer—like it also could be applied to the 196 Senate and House Dems' emoluments lawsuit v. Trump too.*
