Comedy MP @DKShrewsbury claims Labour not agreeing to an election creates "more gridlock, more paralysis, which - by the way - is now starting to have an impact not only on our international reputation, but on manufacturing and business confidence." Sure, hon. That's what did it.
This talking pile of laundry quite literally just blamed a vote in Parliament last night for the economic trend of the last two years, under his party's stewardship. Just fuck the fuck off.
Only now. Starting. This loss of international confidence. You have to look closely. Juuuust started. All down to Labour. Five days ago TOTES CONFIDENT the world was.

Can we not find a fast-track process where we crowdfund the £20k Charlotte will make up front, in exchange for her instantly peaking with some hot take about dead refugee children or gay cures, getting fired and disappearing again?
I mean, we all know where this career path leads. Even Charlotte knows. Must we go through the slow, painful two-three years of her desperately debasing herself in order to gain notoriety?

Not a huge fan of current Labour leadership, but I see nothing irrational in their position.

Given UK voted, narrowly, to Leave, they see it as a duty to negotiate the least damaging way of facilitating that, put it back to the people, but argue Remain is still the best option.
I'm not saying this is the right position to land on or not, but it is entirely consistent in its internal logic.

It is only made to look silly by a very particular framing: "so you would campaign against your own deal?" Of course, this has become very popular with journalists.
It would help, of course, if Labour spokespeople could express it as clearly as I just did, rather than trying to avoid saying it.

1/3 Johnson's predicament reminds me of a completely delicious anecdote about a famous soprano, who dreaded singing La Traviata in a notoriously "difficult" Italian house, with which she had a difficult relationship even at her prime, which was now long gone. Much to her surprise
2/3 ... after her Act III aria the balcony erupted in enthusiastic applause and cries of "Encore!" from the balcony. The conductor reluctantly agreed to facilitate a reprise of the aria (not unusual in the 40s). Twice! And still the crowd's rapturous applause wouldn't subside.
3/3 When the maestro turned to reason with the balcony, begging them to let the company get on with the opera, someone coldly shouted back: "No. She'll sing it, until she gets it right."

Another long thread about what’s happening to asylum seekers at the border.

I went to Mexico yesterday to see if I could find the missing migrants who were not showing up at the shelter and clinic in Laredo. I decided I needed to be on that side to bear witness.
To recap: I’ve been volunteering this week at the LaFrontera Immigrant Shelter and Clinic in Laredo. For a few months, CBP has brought up to 200 immigrants a day for respite before leaving to stay with their sponsors. Then in the last week: almost no migrants were dropped off.

Recently Ellie Reeves #Labour MP was reportedly facing a vote of "No Confidence" and "Deselection" @elliereeves received a lot of support from Jess Phillips, Tom Watson etc. No motion was tabled with her CLP so the furore over a pregnant Labour MP being deselected was nonsense.
So let us move on about 1 week from this bogus story to the equally spurious #PanoramaHatchetJob about #Labour and #Antisemitism The usual suspects showed their sham horror of the apparent problems in Labour. #TomWatson #jessphillips
Tom Watson belittled, harangued, bullied and called into question the reliability and fitness of @JennieGenSec to act as General Secretary. Some might question my point on reliability etc. But the image I have attached which Watson and Phillips promote does exactly that.

Yesterday I cancelled my #Labour membership. Tonight I watched #TulsiGabbard speak #Liverpool & its #Labour members have been disparaged by @wesstreeting & others. We once looked to advocates of peace now we smear them.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.
