Well, the thing that knocked Donald out of his Alabama spiral for now seems to have happened: MSNBC hosted a town hall on criminal justice reform and wouldn't you know it, he found a way to take it personally.

If you read his tweets about it last night (and I'm not specifically recommending that you do), he's angry that the panelists didn't give him credit for having done it.

He's talking about one act he signed into law - he's assuming that covers the whole subject.

They did bring up the act he signed, credited him by name, and showed footage of him signing it. But at whatever point he was tuned in they were talking about the subject of criminal justice reform like it wasn't a done deal, like he hadn't done it already, like it's ongoing.

Because it is ongoing. To Trump's Buzzword Brain and his "good enough for private sector work" attitude, though... he passed criminal justice reform. Criminal justice reform is the thing he passed. He lists it among his accomplishments. Acting like there's more to do is criticism

Now, leave aside the breathtaking scale of the misunderstanding of scope of what criminal justice reform is.

Consider: he thought MSNBC had a whole show scheduled to discuss a problem that was over.

And his fans/supporters, as always, take their cues from him. If you go read the replies of any well-traveled critical tweet about his outburst, you'll see MAGAland agreeing it was disrespectful to discuss something positive and "not give credit to the person who did it".

Again, criminal justice reform not as a thorny, complicated, multifaceted problem that is ongoing and requires all hands on deck... but a good thing that Donald did.

That's the level they're operating at.

Anyway.

That is, in short, why you may see #FilthyMouthedWife and #PresidentPussyAssBitch popping in and out of the trends throughout the day: Donald Trump took a shot at @chrissyteigen without naming her, because he doesn't understand what criminal justice reform *is*.
