1/ Today Dapper Labs (maker of Cryptokitties) announced Flow, a new blockchain to support mass adoption of consumer-facing games, apps and digital collectibles at scale. We at Autonomous participated in the round and here is why we are excited:

2/ Flow provides the infrastructure for decentralized entertainment experiences and provides benefits that aren’t available on other blockchains: applications and assets are composable, ecosystems are open, and network effects are enabled.

The blockchain is faster and more efficient than others, executing transactions at over 6000x the speed on Ethereum for 0.1% of the cost.
Flow does not use sharding, which reduces friction for developers.

4/ By breaking up the consensus mechanism over 4 node types miners won’t be required to do all the work. Developers can also use each others’ code like lego blocks, boosting the speed of innovation.

Flow has the potential for over 100k validators and can scale to billions of users. It’s architected to support an increasing amount of decentralization over time.

6/ The open ecosystem allows users to capture value for contributing to, expanding, or improving applications and experiences. This network effect creates value for all involved.

You’ll be able to control your data and assets, and move freely across applications without losing access to connections, history, or other information.

9/ When it launches in 2020, Flow will go live with consumer-targeted products built by Dapper Labs and their partners. Personally I can’t wait to see what those experiences will be!
