It's also worth noting that Dorian will likely side-swipe Puerto Rico, and directly hit Florida...which he interestingly doesn't see as a burden.

That's a LIE.

That's the estimated total they'll need to fully recover.

Congress has allocated $42.5 Billion.

"They're having massive fires in their forests...I just offered our assistance because we're very good at putting out forest fires frankly."
#HMM: Wonder why Trump HASN'T offered Brazil any U.S. assistance in fighting the thousands of fires in the Amazon Rainforest?

Is it because he supports President Bolsonaro's anti-climate change/pro-deforestation policies? Or because Bolsonaro isn't Putin?
#FLAG: Knowing that other leaders plan to discuss the #AmazonFires and ways to pressure Brazil at the G7...

Trump reaffirmed his support for the pro-deforestation leader.

He told Bolsonaro we "stand ready to assist"...but exerted no pressure/took no steps to protect the Amazon.

No, Wolf, there will not be any "tipping point" at 1.5 degrees. Nothing sudden or different will happen in 11 years. That's just the point at which scientists believe dangerous/catastrophic change effectively becomes unavoidable.

The #DemDebate starts on CNN and cnn.com in 30 minutes. Tonight is Debate 2 Night 1: Delaney, Williamson, Warren, Sanders, Buttigieg, O’Rourke, Klobuchar, Hickenlooper, Ryan and (for the first time) Bullock - replacing Swalwell.
A lot of the press and pundits have expressed a lot of interest in two match-ups: Sanders vs. Warren and O’Rourke vs Buttigieg. Williamson is perceived to be doing her own thing and Bullock hasn’t been in these debates but the rest are perceived to compete for the centrist lane.
In the previous debate Klobuchar did much more poorly than I expected and Tim Ryan did better than expected, so I’ll be especially interested in how each of them perform - though moreso with an eye towards a VP slot than a POTUS one, unless polling changes.
