💥 NEW: Cabinet row over a proposal by Liz Truss to give businesses a £1,500 'Brexit voucher' to prepare for no-deal

The idea was rejected by Michael Gove's XO committee. But Truss is determined to push ahead

3) Dominic Raab will be a marvellous Foreign Secretary.
The man has everything we want to present to the world & has common sense which lacks in many.
He'll not bow when he should be growling, or vice versa.
4) Sajid Javid is a beancounter, very strong but simply not lethal enough for Home Sec. A nice guy, too nice for what we need there now.
He's the perfect Chancellor to spend our dosh properly. He uniquely sees it as ours, so is duty bound.

Boris Johnson is/was advised by Steve BANNON – Trump’s campaign manager & VP of the notorious, now-shuttered electioneering firm Cambridge Analytica, which he co-founded in 2014 w/ hedge fund billionaire Robert Mercer, who also backed the Breitbart sites.

It’s hard to know where to begin a critique of Andrea Leadsom’s 3 point plan for a no-deal #Brexit or to imagine how a relatively long serving Cabinet Minister cld have thought that these proposals are in any way credible. thesun.co.uk/news/9200375/a…
If any new PM is to have a hope of moving the #EU in the negotiations, they need to at least show that they’re serious, but there is little evidence of that here.
Putting aside the conceptual contortion at the centre of the proposal (i.e. that UK & EU agree “no-deal deal”, which, of course, is impossible, since no-deal means precisely that, & the only deal the EU is willing to offer is the one on the table)...

1. The good news: France values UK relationship – ally in Middle East, Africa, UN and NATO & partner on intelligence, counter-terrorism. Discussions take place at bilateral level, so largely unaffected by Brexit.
2. The flip-side: France clear that Brexit negotiations are led by the EU. Its position hasn’t changed: UK cannot expect same benefits or preferential treatment. UK-EU trade will inevitably be weaker.
