Apparently the CPC recently launched a networking app for uniting and connecting conservative supporters.

But did you know...

Scheer's conservatives hired a US based company that develops apps EXCLUSIVELY for pro-Republican and right wing groups such as the NRA. #cdnpoli

I was curious about the CPC App so I visited the App Store to learn more. It's described as "The official mobile app for supporters of the CPC." Links within the app description take you to the CPC website.

The company that designed the app for Scheer's CPC is
'uCampaign.'

"uCampaign" is the operating name of 'Political Social Media' - a Washington based company that designs apps for US Republican campaigns.
Founded in 2014 by Thomas Peters, with financial backing from Sean Fieler, a US social conservative with ties to RW organizations.

uCampaign has produced apps for the following organizations and individuals:

-Republican National Committee
-National Rifle Association
-Family Research Council
-Senator Ted Cruz
-Donald Trump
-Brexit

uCampaign has an extensive privacy policy that would be a challenge to dissect here, but it seems they hold significant control over data mined from their app users and which third parties they choose to share it with.

Why is Andrew Scheer and the Conservative Party of Canada using software developed by a right wing US company that has a history of privacy concerns and security flaws?

How much of Canadians' data is ending up in RW political databases because of the CPC App?
