Just been accosted by Labour Party Marxists' Anne McShane outside a pub. She wanted to know if I was proud of myself. #LabourConference2019 #Lab19

She accused me of assisting a witchhunt against the Labour left, which will be due to my calling out antisemitism, something I'd always regarded as a duty for socialists. I replied that I was ashamed I'd ever been involved in a group that was now facilitating antisemitism.

And that she should be ashamed too. LPM is a front for the CPGB, a group that didn't used to obsess about anti-Zionism but has done that these last few years, spawning Labour Against the Witchhunt and presenting all concerns about antisemitism as some sort of Zionist conspiracy.

So we see hardcore antisemites and Holocaust deniers such as Chris Crookes, Michael Morgan and Patricia Sheerin commenting on LPM and LAW's social media and Labour members defending them there even when they've been told about their views.

Labour Party Marxists and Labour Against the Witchhunt tell members that such racists are victims of an anti-left, pro-Zionist purge. That they're targeted for criticising Israel or supporting Palestinians - even though it is quite obvious they should have no place in our party.

So, Anne McShane, I'm not ashamed to oppose antisemitism, just as I wasn't ashamed when I organised and supported actions against Islamophobic, racist and fascist groups. That's what socialists are supposed to do. #EnoughIsEnough #BeLouder
