THREAD 1/ Chris Williamson MP can't help himself, can he? Only a day after his Labour Party suspension was lifted, The Word magazine released a YouTube video of him being interviewed by antisemitic conspiracy theorist Mara Rotundu (aka 'Mara Leverkuhn'): 
2/ The Word is a minor publication which identifies as left-wing and has published a number of problematic front covers. Its editor Peter Davies (aka 'Peter Loo' on Facebook) posts content like the cartoon below (hat tip to Euan Philipps: ).
3/ The woman interviewing Chris Williamson is called Mara Rotundu but also goes by the name Mara Leverkuhn. She's currently suspended from the Labour Party over antisemitism charges but, unlike Williamson, has been referred to the NCC for a full disciplinary hearing.
4/ Leverkuhn says she's a "Heretic Omega Transhumanist" but I could suggest something more concise given her authorship of some pretty dodgy material about Jews, including this piece labelling the IHRA definition as a "masterful tool for crushing dissent": medium.com/@MaraLeverkuhn…
5/ Leverkuhn warns that "ceding ground to antisemitic smears is an error; confront the fabrications instead" - another one of those articles that implies opposing antisemitism somehow conflicts with tackling healthcare, war, poverty and other problems: medium.com/@MaraLeverkuhn…

7/ Mara Leverkuhn really has it in for NEC member and Momentum founder Jon Lansman, who is apparently "being lobbied at expert level by warmongering elites", "taking the side of supporters of Israeli apartheid on the grounds that they are Jewish" and makes her sick.
8/ What was Chris Williamson thinking of when he agreed to do this interview on a highly problematic media platform with a woman who is suspended from the Labour Party for antisemitism?

9/ As for the timing of the interview, it would appear that it took place a fortnight ago. That's remarkably coincidental with an event organised by The Word that Chris Williamson promised Labour he wouldn't be attending. Did he go along after all? Perhaps he could clarify that?
