Interesting point from @Gladwell's book on how we deal w/ strangers:

"The people who got Hitler right were the ones who never met him. The people who got him wrong were the ones who did spend time with him."

This is a point we've been making about the Kremlin for a while.
Evaluating hard evidence, actions, previous behavior, stated intentions was more important when evaluating Hitler than the face-to-face, as I think looking at behavior and stated intention is far more important when evaluating this Kremlin.
Who really cares about the supposed factions in the Kremlin -- look at what Russia does to its neighbors, the region, Syria, beyond.
