it's useful for all Canadians to see what CPC candidates, particularly those in AB, are saying to voters. check out my MP's (@GarnettGenuis) website... #cdnpoli #elxn43 #strathco #shpk

"particularly through the tax on everything, the carbon tax."

Whatever one thinks of the carbon tax, it's clearly not a tax on everything
“Bill C-48, which prevents the exports of Canadian resources offshore”

It blocks the loading of crude and other oil products at ports along the northern BC coast. TMX, the expansion of the pipeline that goes to Burnaby, BC, is aimed at exporting AB oil overseas
“Conservatives will make EI parental and maternity leave tax free”.

CPC govt proposes to offer a non-refundable tax credit, which is not the same thing as being tax-free. It would result in about a 15% refund. This has been pointed out numerous times to Scheer and Garnett
“Liberals refused to protect freedom of conscience in their bill to legalize euthanasia, leaving the door open to a situation in which a doctor would be compelled by their regulatory college to perform or refer for euthanasia as a condition of practice.”
Garnett's referring to MAiD (medical assistance in dying) or assisted suicide, of course. And “leaving the door open” does not mean something would actually happen. I’ve not read about any medical professionals being forced to provide MAiD against their conscience.
I *have* read about critically-ill patients being forced to leave a faith-run hospital in order to receive MAiD; *that’s* clearly wrong and something that needs to be addressed. but socon CPC MPs won't
“Liberals put in place a “values test” as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program – requiring groups to attest to certain positions on controversial social issues."

This was the rule put into place for the summer of 2018. It was relaxed this past summer… a convenient “omission”
“Under the current Liberal government, illegal immigration has increased exponentially”.

People crossing the border illegally to claim asylum is not “illegal immigration”. the rules were the same during the Harper govt. asylum claims spike based on world events, including Trump
“The Conservatives have a real plan on the environment …. It is the most detailed policy ever released by an opposition party.”

This policy has been roundly criticized by experts and media for its lack of details, including for not having a target for GHG emissions reductions
that being said, at least Garnett is posting his policies and views online.

we should focus more attention on the policies of *all* the candidates and parties
