EDITORIAL: "The potency of @SpongeBob referencing #SpongeKnob"
Recently, an episode of the wildly popular @Nickelodeon cartoon @SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS incorporated one of the many memes the show has spawned, a creepypasta (that's the term for it) called "Squidward's Suicide." news.avclub.com/yep-spongebob-…
Many people aware of the creepypasta, which I wasn't until I saw it in the extracted clip from the episode, were quick to notice the appearance of it within the episode. One user brought up the idea of the show spoofing something called #SpongeKnobSquareNuts in the future.
If you are not aware of it, #SpongeKnobSquareNuts is the X-rated parody (and distant cousin, twice removed) of @SpongeBob which was made in 2013 by the Canadian porn parody specialist Lee Roy Myers, who, for ten years, has done X-rated parodies of many other TV shows . . . 
. . . including fellow western animation programs @TheSimpsons and @FamilyGuyonFOX. The pornographic film received international attention over the ensuing six years of its existence, culminating in a review of the picture from the Cinema Snob in 2018.
This is something the little yellow sponge could use as a means of making fun of pornographic films in general. If you take out the sex scenes, they give you an idea of what #HeeHaw would look like if it contained little more than jokes about male and female genitalia.
I am not saying @NickAnimation should directly reference the sex scenes from the spoof. God knows this would be a terrible thing to do with a show as squeaky-clean and wholesome as @SpongeBob truly is.
@NickAnimation @SpongeBob What I am saying is, the show could use #SpongeKnob make fun of what it is typical for a pornographic film to contain (besides the inevitable sex scenes). I think this would be a subject worth tackling, especially given the series' strong appeal to those who are over 18.
