Osita Nwanevu either didn't read Kat's article closely, or is simply lying about it. There is no way to read the grafs in question and suggest that she was listing "other supposed casualties of cancel culture."

Can't stand this bad-faith stuff. It's everywhere.
2/ She describes them as "controversies of varying reach," and then in the very next sentence explains that the actual core readership is tired of this stuff and not offended She's obviously not treating anyone involved as 'casualties.'
3/ I didn't think Nwanevu treated my own work quite as unfairly as he treated Kat's, but there's the same general level of general bullshittery and lack of engagement with the specifics of what I actually wrote:
