It really bothers me when someone acts like I “owe them something”. I’ve never been one to live my life based on the expectations of others.
I also tend to let people make assumptions about me, and generally don’t bother to correct people when they get it wrong because - it’s not my problem when people jump to conclusions.
Maybe it’s because I don’t care what people think of me, but people who assume wrong can leave.
I’ve been misunderstood my entire life. I don’t have time for people who are intent on misunderstanding me. #ActuallyAutistic
I’m at a point in my life where I’ve survived enough “big problems” and trauma that the “little things” feel inconsequential.

Things that would have shaken me once barely catch my attention. I don’t have time for the little things anymore. There are bigger problems to face.
I’ve learned looking back, dwelling on the past, is not the same a reflection, and can be dangerous.

I’m moving forward. Looking towards building for the future. Learning to forgive myself for past mistakes.
But it isn’t always easy. I’m a work in progress and that is okay too.
If you have ever been in an abusive relationship with a master manipulator, where nothing was free, & the other party always expected retribution or payment for anything, this would trigger you too. #trauma
