3. Wonder if that new @WHNSC National Security Aid is having fun? Interesting that @POTUS Trump hired a trial lawyer for that job. Too bad for Trump there's no attorney-client privilege. 😎

1. I want to alert folks investigating Trump and the Ukraine whistleblower that I think that when @ODNI said that it referred the matter to DOJ it wasn't referred about Trump. They were referring the whistleblower. That's why they came up with the absurd position that it
2. wasn't covered by the IC Whistleblower Protection Act. They weren't looking at Trump. They were burning the WB.

There were moments today when McGuire appeared to fall back to that cover story. He corrected himself but remnants of that position appeared from time to time in
3. his testimony. So when they said that the career people at @TheJusticeDept found no evidence of a crime, they were right but they meant the whistleblower, not Trump.

I would subpoena the people with knowledge of the referral. Go after Barr's Chief of Staff first.

To sum up today’s #Trump bullshittery: dude says he’ll sign the funding bill that just passed Congress AND will declare a (totes bogus btw) national emergency so that he doesn’t have to honor it.
Worse, the “conservatives” are all supporting this. Including MITCH MCCONNELL who now suddenly wants to sing about it like it’s free candy.

Aren’t y’all supposed to be AGAINST Federal Government overreach?!

Trump's Axios-on-HBO interview has aired. Asked about the situation in Yemen, he said, "I think it's a terrible situation. I hated seeing what happened with the bus and the children. 'Cause that's pure, that's a horror show."
Told that it was a US bomb used by the Saudi coalition to hit the children's bus, Trump said, "It wasn't operated by US people. We don't do that. Our people are the best operators in the world." He said the issue was "people that didn't know how to use the weapon."

First of all, it's fascinating to me just from the standpoint of how even the most absurd propositions can draw wide audiences, when thinking people should be able to dismiss them out of hand. 2/
Second, the fact that we will argue ad inifinitum about subjects that don't deserve a second look is a serious indictment of something - either our inherently American contrariness or the ground-leveling effect social media has. 2/
