I've gotten some new followers lately so you may not know: white people have cabins. Sometimes it's a lake house or some other euphemism, but it's a house not your primary home you use for vacation. They're not all fancy but it's a 2nd dwelling. And white people have them.

Other races have cabins but it's not a cultural thing the way white people have cabins. And they hand down the cabins. And they don't think twice about it even though it's an alien experience for most non-whites.

I came up with this as a preteen in suburban Maryland at a mostly white middle school. I heard kids talking about their family's cabin all the time and I knew my mom and I definitely didn't have a cabin, just a modest apt.

So I decided: White people have cabins.

And it's true

Having a gender reveal party at your cabin with under-seasoned foods is arguably the whitest thing ever

And it's not bad! It's just a thing. Mac and cheese at Xmas. Quincineras. Taking your shoes off as you enter a home. And cabins.
