Can you name one country where a whistleblower can go to, inform the public by disseminating a legit report, yet be protected (Not Only From imprisonment but also from Extradition laws)? Please name Countries. Because for the last 6 years I, Together with my team, been searching.
On any given month I get to know at least 1 legit to-be #whistleblower with damning documented info who comes to me and ask: How do you suggest I do this?
In 2010 I almost went to #NewZealand to set up the channel for my whistleblowers there. That hope went poof after #Kim.Com Case. Had to cross that.
Then, a few years ago, we started looking at #Iceland. At the time they were discussing putting together meaningful protection laws 2 become safe haven for “Real” #journalists & #whistleblowers. As far as I know it hasn’t been done Anybody with info on #Iceland 4 #Whistleblowers?
You see these “Real” #whistleblowers did/do what they do for you- people’s right to know. And in the end, their biggest disappointment (disillusionment) is not really with any administration or entity, but you the people letting them down. Isn’t it time to stand up for them?!
The least you can do: help raise awareness & get over this apathy. Instead of saying “why no one is doing anything about this?!” Say, “what can we do however little!”
Pre WWII Germany all over again? Apathy. Hatred. Xenophobia. Whistleblowers jailed & gagged while everyone stands aside & watches. War refugees (the victims) being penalized & attacked in new home countries on top of their destroyed miserable lives. How horrifying 4 humanity.
