The first book recommendation is not "Story of a Soul". I actually recommend reading this little biography by translator John Beevers first. It is one of my favorites.

There are two versions, and numerous translations, of Story of a Soul. The original release, compiled and heavily edited by Mother Agnes (Pauline), and Fr. John Clarke's version which is a direct translation of Therese's original, unedited manuscripts.
For the original release of The Story of a Soul (Mother Agnes' edited version) I really like this translation.

It is worth buying just to read John Beevers' introduction!

The Chaplet of St. Therese. I made this one, it has a vintage medal with St. Therese on one side and St. Christopher on the other side. It was blessed with her relics.

Much of St. Therese's spirituality is contained in her letters. She wrote so much more than just Story of a Soul.

This is a free audiobook of Story of a Soul. The narration is good, but it is not my favorite translation. There isn't anything wrong with Taylor's translation per se, I just think Beevers' is more comprehensible.

She says this started with a photo of her face and eventually became more vulnerable. She says by the end of the night she was sending him naked photos.

1. "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" by Michael Wolff. Yes, I hate-read this book in a matter of days. Problematically, Bannon comes across as an articulate, insightful source and not an arch nationalist parasite. Will Wolff's depiction be hagiography in the future?
