On importance of vetting. Problematic American, Western volunteers in Ukraine -including Craig Lang who’s now implicated in a murder in Florida, and far-right fighters - spent time with Georgian National Legion volunteer unit in 🇺🇦. Leader of GNL met US lawmakers in Washington. 
American Craig Lang who’s now implicated in a murder, Norwegian neo-Nazi Joachim Furholm, former Australian neo-Nazi Tilling, others - spent time with Georgian National Legion volunteer unit in 🇺🇦. Some, like Furholm, were allegedly kicked out, some left, incl. for other 🇺🇦units
Commander of the Georgian National Legion Mamuka Mamulashvili has stated that nationalism wasn't tolerated in his unit, yet the fact remains: questionable characters spent time with the GNL. So did numerous Americans,& in fairness 🇺🇦 overall isn't good at vetting foreign fighters
His unit has served as temporary home in Ukraine for problematic US, Western fighters - like Craig Lang, and self-described neo-Nazi Furholm. Mamulashvili himself had access to the US lawmakers in DC incl Reps: Engel, Lamborn, Sander Levin, Carolyn B Maloney, Dana Rohrabacher.
In 2018 commander of “Georgian National Legion” unit that has hosted Western, US volunteers in 🇺🇦 - incl Craig Lang, and a Norwegian neo-Nazi- wrote that meetings with US lawmakers were meant to "counter attempts to discredit GNL by corrupt officials and pro-Russian oligarchs".
My point is: Is it safe to say that vetting those you meet/host is as important for the US lawmakers as it is for units fighting 🇷🇺in Ukraine?
