It's violation of UDHR Art 18 n Indian Constitution Art 25-28!

requested to immediately remove all Bible copies placed near patient's beds from Shillong Civil Hospital
In a attached photograph, you can see Bible copy in Private Deluxe Room of the Shillong Civil Hospital.

@LegalLro @LegalLro further stated in its complaint, Placing such copy of Bible & urging or forcing followers of Niam Tynrai/ Niamtre religion i.e. non- Christian patient in physical and mental stress to read the Bible for medical cure is gross violation of his/her personal liberty.

@LegalLro Also it's against spirit of Article 18 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights by United Nations.Indian Constitution's Article 25, 26, 27 & 28 too grants Freedom of Religion to all.

@LegalLro Thus, such forcibly placed Bible copies all over Shillong Civil Hospital are insulting and violating Article 18 of UDHR and Indian Constitutional provisions at a time.

@LegalLro Thus @LegalLro via its complaint:
1) Immediately order all district medical officers/ health directors to inspect and sanitize all Meghalaya government run hospitals by removing all Bible copies and religious materials;

@LegalLro 2) Impose carpet ban on all visits of evangelists to government hospitals urging followers of Niam Tynrai patients to read Bible and worship Jesus for medical cure;

@LegalLro 3) Start helpline/ call center to report presence of any such religious books,material, forced visits of evangelists in Meghalaya Government run hospitals and medical facilities.

@LegalLro @AmitShah You can see Bible verse from 33rd chapter "Jeremiah" written on hospital notice board at Mawphlang CHC in East Khasi Hills district. It's highly outrageous act as Khasi Hills have considerable population of followers of indigenous religion Niam Khasi.

@LegalLro @AmitShah As per newly established "NIT Idol Precedent" we request you to immediately remove the said board from CHC.Unfortunately, instead of acting on our email request, high ranking Meghalaya government official was threatening LRO of legal action for spreading communal hatred.

@LegalLro @AmitShah We have taken serious note of the statements made by that government official and we will write letter to Meghalaya Governor and central government in this regard.
