Friends, important question. The man in the upper-right-corner of the attached (thread) screenshot is Mexico's most famous businessman. Known worldwide as the richest person on the Forbes billionaire list, 2010 to 2013. There's a reason I'm asking. Do you recognize Carlos Slim?

As discussed one time when Trump was on David Letterman, Mexican Billionaire, Carlos Slim, owns a significant part of the New York Times. This is a well known fact.

LAWSUIT UPDATE -- COMPLETE VICTORY AGAINST THE #ArizonaMafia's RETALIATORY LEGAL ATTACK ON ME. Some of my friends and family, particularly those who followed my former career in Arizona, may recall I had been involved in a civil litigation lawsuit with former business partners.
This update is to confirm that this most recent legal attack -- and it was a bad one -- has recently been completely dismissed, with prejudice, by the Arizona court. (See screenshot at the end of this thread) With this awful chapter behind us, there are some lessons here.

I save the #Mexico #corruption stories for the ones that matter.

So, here's one that matters, you probably haven't heard. Mexican Supreme Court Justice Eduardo Medina Mora, caught up in the President's anti-corruption sweep..looks like money laundering.

Here's a quote from the article about the Mexican President's anti-corruption campaign:

"Lopez Obrador, a veteran leftist who unseated Pena Nieto’s decades-ruling (PRI) when he took office in December, has vowed to root out Mexico’s entrenched corruption, starting from the top."
If you have been following my social media posts, you know by now that I'm "tentative" on Lopez Obrador "AMLO" (his nickname). Seems like he's doing a lot to clean up corruption with arrests that former Mexican Presidents haven't dared to do.

But, who knows. Time will tell.

As it gets to be that time of the year when another trip around the sun has been completed, again thoughtful about age. As a kid, didn't understand why some "adults" were sensitive about age. Still feel that way. Seems there's something special about every phase of our lives.🤔
Why are some people sensitive about others knowing their age? The way I see it, we should be proud of our lives, our history, our age. If we're older, maybe we've learned enough to approach something resembling wisdom. There's no substitute for experience in our fields of work.
Then again, maybe I missed that chapter of the "How to be an adult" rule book, where it explains why we're supposed to be uncomfortable, ashamed, or "sensitive" about age. Seems like I missed a lot of chapters in that book 😂

Anyways, I think you should be proud of your age!! ♥️

#Thread This is an important question, so let's unpack this.

1) It is our view that coalition politics are the way of stable democracies and the future of South Africa. Germany is a good example of how coalitions work.
2) The first half of the Mandela administration ticked a number of boxes in terms of how coalitions should work (although that was a Government of National Unity rather than a coalition). The cabinet had ANC, NP, and IFP ministers. It worked well.
3) A number of our municipalities are run by coalition governments. Some of these work well. Others are a disaster.

So there's been an epidemic of GPS spoofing by @uber drivers lately. I'm a heavy user due to school runs and I estimate that about 3-4 out of every 5 rides I order have the distances inflated due to GPS spoofing.
Of course this inflates the cost of the ride which is the drivers' goal.
I'm not sure why these drivers are not blocked from continuing to work with uber; it may be due to a dearth of drivers who qualify otherwise...
Uber refunds if you complain, but it takes about 7 - 10 days for the refund to hit your account, which I find irritating. Anyway, you can tell very easily when your driver has used a GPS spoofing app because the trip route *that the driver has taken* will usually include zig-zags
