Groups like @citizenspc & Kong Pollster have conducted polls of protesters. The main take-away from them is overwhelming unity across the spectrum from frontline protesters to the most moderate. This Ming Pao poll takes the pulse of a broad spectrum of #HK citizens.
The Ming Pao poll shows overwhelming support from across HK for 2 protester demands- an independent investigation of police & universal suffrage. The govt tho says it won't do either. It shows ambivalence about protester violence but greater disapproval of police & blame on govt.
So there's unity among HK people for:
-independent investigation of police (87.6)
-universal suffrage (81.3)
-no more ERO measures (76.6)
-restructuring of police (68.8)
In all these matters, the #HK govt & #HK people are in deep disagreement.
