This is appalling and evil. We saw the smears against Fethullah Gülen in 2016-2017 at Snopes and were extremely concerned that the United States would capitulate to the disinformation. Of course, the calls were coming from inside the house all along.
These stories seemed to originate from a site called WhatdoesItMean.com. Here’s one of my old pages about Gülen disinformation archive.is/wn084
Look at who else was involved. wsj.com/articles/ex-ci…
Side note: Such a bummer to see my old site in such tatters. A lot of stories are either missing or unfindable and the tagging system that I had put together with such care is no longer functional. We did some really great anti-disinformation work.
Well, onward and upward! Some of us defected and we run TruthOrFiction.com / @erumors now with an eye to wild rumors and corrosive disinformation. 💪
Another story from WhatDoesItMean.com. Now that we have some benefit of hindsight, do you see how disinformation works its way into the public discourse, our public policies? Do you see how corrosive it can be? (h/t @ndrew_lawrence)

They have promulgated #SethRich and #JadeHelm and #antivax bullshit for ages, so given all we have learned in the past couple years I’m comfortable speculating that they likely are Kremlin-linked. They attach lies to true events for more believability.
I was looking for something else, but found this. Yeah, I remember watching the Seth Rich stuff get pushed in real-time on the anniversary of his death. It was bounced from, if I recall correctly, Julian Assange to Newt Gingrich to Roger Stone - to Trump.

And just to bring it full circle:
