I'm retweeting this to see if others can shed light - I'm struggling to understand.
Of course I support Selina Soule's case.
But I cannot see how accepting legal funding from the FAR right (not centre/conservative right) is acceptable or in any way helpful to our movement.
This is the group that are funding the Selina Soule case cited above:

They are anti-abortion, and seek to criminalise homosexuality in US and internationally.

2/ Twitter has introduced 2 new functions which censor gender critical women.
Twitter can now silence and no-platform us even when we have not violated their policies, had our account features limited, or been suspended/banned.
And they are silencing us en masse.

3/ The first woman-silencing feature is REPLY DEBOOSTING.
I'm deboosted, as are almost all my gender critical followers (mainly women).
It means our Twitter contributions & interactions are less visible/less likely to be seen.
We're not silenced but our visibility is "demoted".

This subject doesn't come up so much for me these days because I'm in a history department. I teach, in part, the history of religions. But still, the insider-outsider debate is housed in Religious Studies (a field in which I taught for three years as a postdoc).

#HappyPrideMonth - I need to tell you all a truth about the #LGBT. They are a mess. STDs, mental health issues, drug rates, and unhealthy behaviors abound.

I know because I’ve been out for well over 15 years. I have seen it all.
I don’t have any hatred towards the community. Far from it. But they are being led astray by people who tell them that their path to happiness lies in relying on government to legislate “acceptance.”
Big government can never be the answer. I see the LGBT heading down the same path as Blacks...a path to permanent victimhood status as pawns of the left

1. Never Let Me Go; Kazuo Ishiguro: A supremely crafted narrative begins unassumingly, but quickly reveals a different notion of childhood innocence and coming of age. The conversational tone fooled me into thinking I was walking into a world I understood. Nobel worthy.
2. We Should All Be Feminists; Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: As an author who breathes eloquence, Adichie doesn't disappoint. This short book/long essay is insightful and logical and human. If we want to raise boys without the toxic masculinity, this is on the required reading list.

#History/#Art thread – From my recent trip to Madurai/Tirunelveli. On Jain sites (some with a rich history dating back to at least the 3rd cent. BCE), early Pandyan rock-cut cave temples (7th-8th cent. CE) & the amazing Vettuvan koil.

Before I start on the places, the history around all this is fascinating & splits opinion. Is it apt to call the script Tamili/Tamil Brahmi? Did it develop independently in the Tamil country/come with the Jain monks from the north? Were 8,000 Jains actually impaled in Madurai?>

I want to talk about bit about my path as a Corporate Designer. How I see myself and my role has often mirrored what the industry has told me is right, and that’s changed over time. 1/
When I was just starting out, I saw the user’s experience as something sacred. It was my hallowed responsibility as a Designer to keep that experience ~pure~. I’d go to bat for ~the user~ frequently and get into long arguments w/ other stakeholders. 2/
This “experience” I was fighting for included everything from visual polish, to intuitive IA, to never including dark patterns or shady gamification that didn't serve the user. It was SO important. 3/
