Wow! Amazing documentary.
😳
The Protestant church, Christianity and relationship to Nazism explained in depth.

@profagagne you may be interested. 1 hour documentary, but jam packed with information on theological history.
If you don’t have time to watch the whole documentary, watch the last 3 minutes & 10 seconds.

An educator explains her experience with teaching other educators how to discuss Anne Frank in their classrooms.

It’s a powerful message.
That 3 minutes and 10 seconds will explain where we are in the trajectory of global developing fascism.

Long past the rhetoric to make hate acceptable, but not quite at the final solution.

It reveals we are much further along than most are aware.

#NeverAgainIsNow
If you do have time to watch the documentary, pay special attention to the 4 proposed solutions to the “Jewish problem” that were proposed. Then reflect on what’s happening to refugees at the US southern border.
Then, also look globally how autocratic leaders are moving towards nationalism and creating the subtext narrative support for homogenization of their countries, using extremist religious teachings. It’s not just Christianity this time. It’s most organized religion.
Muslim, Hindu, Judaism, Christianity, Orthodox Christianity, all working to create nationalist strongholds that do not include influence from outside faiths, plurality, modernism, or liberalism.

A return to traditional ideology and practice.
Rejection of education, reason and logic in favour of faith and obedience to traditional teachings.

Truly this documentary needs to be watched by anyone trying to figure out what is going on globally.
There are so many parallels to current global events it’s horrifying.

One especially frightening revelation is Nazism and Theological support of Nazism to make Germany great again. The theme of German Theological teachings of the 1920’s.
This documentary will scare you, but also open your eyes to the danger we all face globally. Don’t forget we are on the eve of climate disaster. We have our modern Theologians, people supposed to be men/women of god, recommending solutions to climate change & overpopulation.
If you’ve watched Netflix “The Family” you will also see the parallels between the Family’s strategy of making difficult decisions and becoming the wild who guides the sheep, and Nazi Germany of the 1920’s-1930’s.

Please circulate this documentary. It’s that informative.
It also features Canadian Dartmouth University, Chair of Jewish Studies Program, Professor Susannah Heschel.
I can’t recommend this documentary enough. Released 2018. My only complaint, the background music is distracting. Otherwise it’s the best documentary I’ve watched since Noam Chomsky’s “Requiem of the American Dream.”
