these confederate heritage obsessives are always going on about exactly how many very important confederate ancestors they have. i've been doing some research of my own & it brings me no pleasure to tell you, i think i've got them all beat.
the 'heritage not hate' refrain has always been a lie.

if being the great great great granddaughter of some asshole who got shot in the leg because of how much he loved slavery gives you special authority over those racism monuments, i'm gonna file for ownership of statues in like a dozen counties.
if the confederates who claim to have already done this research on my family history want to just send it to me, that would be great. i'm losing track of all these confederate colonels. did they just let anybody be a colonel?!
surely these ladies have some respect for my great great great grandfather, confederate navy captain john wilkinson and will let me into their cool racism club, right? 
i'm gonna make them say it. make them tell me it isn't about heritage. because i have as much or more confederate heritage as all the ladies in the UDC. it was never about heritage at all.
and, sandie? john wilkinson was a blockade runner and commanded the CSS Robert E Lee.
