i wonder if the plaintiffs who allege it’s defamatory to them for a black woman to acknowledge the historical fact of slavery in america were as surprised as i was to see the area’s only black judge on the bench today?
i’m sure there will be those who claim judge worrell’s skin color was a conflict of interest. the idea that only the beneficiaries of white supremacy can be impartial about its effects is a lie that just won’t die.
i can guarantee you that if judge worrell had sermonized about this case the way judge moore did on the statue suit, there would have been a massive outcry from those fragile old racists. the judge was measured, fair, and correct.
