Couple of thoughts on the health care debate.
I was on the faculty @UMKC for 17 years. I wish I had saved all of the different health insurance cards I had over the years. Employer-sponsored insurance means you get to choose from the options *your employer choses for you.*
Do you want the HMO or the PPO? Employers shop around constantly, trying to find cheaper ways to provide coverage. I would have a wallet full of cards. My plan changed constantly. Different insurance providers, different networks, different co-pays, different deductibles, etc.
The idea that we are protecting INDIVIDUAL choice by preserving the status quote is laughably dishonest.
