So, listening to @POSTwrestling as you do (and should), and was reminded that @N8Mozaik ‘s excellent chronological Rock movie review podcast will hit the Tooth Fairy episode soon. I haven’t seen this film, but it is incredibly important to me. Thread-me-do! 
See, Wai was suggesting John should guest on the episode because infamously on Live Audio Wrestling, John was assigned to do the press junket for Tooth Fairy and hijacked this five minute Rock interview to talk about wrestling and not the movie.
I watched more WWE then than I do now, and had just gotten my first iPhone, which meant I was introduced to the wonderful medium of podcasts. Looking for things to listen to I guess I saw some headline somewhere about the rock being on this thing and the hijacking.
I downloaded the LAW out of curiosity and it was this huge three and a half hour download then, because after the LAW, Review A Wai would be tacked on the end as a download bonus, discussing old shows.
I instantly loved the concept since it very much reminded me of teenage years watching random wrestling tape trades or charity shop finds with my brother and liking or laughing at them.
Had I not listened to that podcast I wouldn’t have subscribed, and heard @whpark9 guest on the Super J Cup 94 episode (which happened to be mine and many’s introduction to NJPW). I wouldn’t have heard WH mention he was moving to Japan...
...and wouldn’t have shot him a Facebook message inviting him to come see a show when he came out. We wouldn’t have watched assorted NOAH and New Japan over the next few months, and wouldn’t have done Skype calls with John talking about what we’d seen.
John wouldn’t have gotten sick with the time zones and wouldn’t have suggested we just record our own podcast and have it hosted on the LAW. We wouldn’t have taken questions from people curious about New Japan history and (with @leftfordamian ‘s prompting) I wouldn’t have...
...written my first book and then a second. I wouldn’t have been on twitter to promote podcasts and books and wouldn’t have translated post match comments online. I also wouldn’t have interviewed and become friends with @azucarRoc , and he wouldn’t have put my name forward...
..when new Japan was looking to expand their English content. I wouldn’t then be where I am.
TL; DR I have the best job in the world and live my dream on a daily basis because @iamjohnpollock hijacked an otherwise boring Rock press junket for an apparently shitty movie.
