This week I gave a talk @MIT about climate policy and politics. I mentioned that the Institute continues to take money for climate research from fossil fuel companies that still promote climate denial.

This is the most exciting talk I have seen in a long time. You have 10 minutes right now. Watch @DKeithClimate explain how solar power could drive direct air capture to create synthetic hydrocarbons. This would solve the air transport climate problem.

1) There’s a lot of BS about @nntaleb’s Black Swan, antifragility & skin in da game. Let’s take the gloves off and get into trouble.
2) When the Swan flew out, it was immediately butchered by imbeciles not understanding that you can’t predict the unpredictable.

That is the point – and an IQ filter NNT himself proly did not expect.
3) In any complex domain – life! – the Blackest Swan is always skulking around the corner. You know it’s coming, but you don’t know what where when. You can't tame what you've never even conceived of.
