The narcissist manufactures multiple, serial alternative “realities” in response to accountability because chaos and confusion work in their favor. It convinces his enablers he’s being treated unfairly. This makes it easier for the enablers to rationalize their position/support.
The enablers will now believe that we (the resistance, the people demanding accountability/exposure) are getting the treatment we deserve, and that any extreme reaction by the narcissist is warranted. This is why the enablers upped their defense of Trump after the booing.
The enablers have witnessed what happens to those enablers who don’t provide unfettered fealty to Trump. The enablers up their attacks on those holding the narcissist to account. Their behavior becomes as irrational and unhinged as the narcissist’s.
The surreality is in witnessing that exposure and accountability of the narcissist psychopath’s wrongdoing and criminality does not provide objective proof of the narcissist’s disorder. It actually empowers the enablers to go to greater, more bizarre and unhinged enabling.
