I’m putting around the house today cleaning and trying to keep my mind off of things.

I don’t want to open my laptop because I still have tabs open with our signature count broken down by district, our event sign-ups, and volunteer lists.
I keep thinking about the week ahead and my internal voice catches when I remember I don’t need to go collect signatures on Election Day at a polling place. I don’t need to email volunteers, or get on conference calls.

@EnoughImpeach45 @beckysvilla @JennaForTexas Launch day was crazy. The social media slack channel! My god. It was chaos. So much energy and excitement. It was wild. I’ve known so many of you through Twitter since day one.

My in-laws are from Denmark and had never seen anything like it: the energy, passion, community. My mother in law got this shot.

It was a lot of work, and I often felt overcommitted. But at the same time, I loved it. It gave me hope.

Even though the polls weren’t great I had faith we’d prevail at the convention, and before we knew it I’d be hosting a bunch of y’all at my house for inauguration since I live 10 mins from DC. A big slumber party for Twitter friends.

When Trump said he only wanted educated, white immigrants from Scandinavia, my husband decided he would become a citizen so he could vote against Trump.
He was so proud at the thought of casting his first vote for Beto.
