Well, what’s intriguing is that “Europe Desk Correspondents” or “EU Desk Officers” for EP Today have also worked for WESTT at the same time… (3/11)
In 2018, WESTT officially wrote to former President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani to ask him to endorse an EP Today op-ed on Pakistani minorities. (4/11)

In December 2017, WESTT wrote again to former EP President Antonio Tajani, but this time to ask for his advice on how to lobby MEPs before their official EU delegation visits to non-EU countries (6/11)
No later than July 2018, WESTT had directly contacted some MEPs to organise a sponsored visit to the Maldives in August 2018 (7/11)
EP Today gave coverage to this trip, which led to the European External Action Service releasing a statement that insisted on the fact that MEPs had travelled in a personal capacity (8/11)

Fast forward to October 2019, a new visit for MEPs was organised. This time to Kashmir, including a meeting with Indian PM Narendra Modi. Indian media outlets and Politico discovered that WESTT had actually facilitated the visit (9/11)

Official invitations sent to MEPs show that travel and accommodation expenses were covered by a think tank called International Institute for Non Aligned Studies (IINS). (10/11)
