Here’s what I said:
Imagine how valuable the data from Myanmar might be to, say, a hostile regime. Where and when to apply pressure; who to target to push into stochastic acts of violence for maximum political leverage; etc.
If you think of humans as little more than teeming stupid masses, it’s easy to justify. Plus, 🤑
And who is famous for their disregard of humanity? What region of the world has spent a decade receiving billions for supposedly being the smartest people in the world? (They aren’t by a long shot.) Who has been praised worldwide for being “disruptors”? But disruptors of what?
Oh and if any reporters want a comment on this I'll talk to anyone because I'm anxious and motivated to push this story into the national conversation as much as possible as soon as possible, because lives are at stake (unless you're a disinformation purveyor, in which case 🖕)
I've actually been shopping around an op-ed about this very topic but haven't had much luck yet (although I do have a publication looking over a version of it now) I think because it's so complicated that I cannot easily explain it in 1000 words and again, I just sound batshit.
