This is not me registering my guess. I am not claiming to know, and I would not bet money on this.
But based on the WaPo excerpts, Anonymous has a style of pointedly approximate recollection that matches how Kellyanne Conway describes conversations/statements.

Conway is also very much not a loyalist or true believer and has never actually been close enough to Donald to be psychologically subsumed by him the way a lot of men in his orbit become.
I suspect publishing anonymous "resistance" and "warnings" may be part of an act for hedging against Trump's fall. If he weathers the storm, Anonymous remains Anonymous. If he falls.. surprise, she was with you the whole time! We all fought together!
