Make sure you're registered by 26th November deadline. If you don't have a current UK address you can register using the last address you were registered at. Instructions here: StartVoting.org
If you can't be in the UK for election day, you have two choices. Postal votes or proxy votes. Every election sees complaints that postal votes arrived late or not at all.

Your proxy needs to be someone who is already registered to vote and themselves eligible to vote in the general election. They also need to be able to attend YOUR polling station.
