I’m at a Costco in Scottsdale where people are lining up to attend a Donald Trump Jr. book signing event. I’ve been told by a Costco employee that members of the media are not allowed inside the store.

A man attending the event just stopped me in the parking lot to ask if I was a member of the media and then said, “you know you’re not allowed to be here, right? Not even in the parking lot.”
Protesters appear to have set up at all entrances to Costco, and some have been joined by counterprotesters chanting in support for @realDonaldTrump.
Some protesters have engaged in heated debate over @realDonaldTrump’s presidential term, thus far.
Joan Petty, a Costco member, says she’s upset with the store for hosting today’s event because they aren’t typically known to be political.
Katie McKay says she wanted to get a signed @DonaldJTrumpJr book but is not a Costoco member so instead decided to oppose @realDonaldTrump protestors by showing support for him.
A woman walking to her car with 3 @DonaldJTrumpJr books in hand says they haven’t been signed because he isn’t here yet. Meanwhile, the line continues to grow.
Costco officials are now telling me that while members of the media are allowed to walk around the parking lot, we are not allowed to conduct interviews on the property. They declined to provide any additional comments about the event.
