On the left is like: I'm triggered cuz society is unjust and oppressive, we need to educate, organise, demand the world changes to be more just and less harmful. It's v important that we get better at not triggering each other.
On the right is like: I'm triggered cuz there's a threat. I need to be strong, and work out how to get over it. We have a duty to protect our loved ones. We must be ready to win a fight.
The integral mode is like: I'm triggered cuz of my traumas, which are the result of my individual experience of collective patterns. So long as my triggers control me, my sensemaking and choicemaking is broken. So first priority is to get free, then we figure out what to do.
By 'trigger' I mean an experience that provokes a strong emotional reaction which lasts more than a few seconds, has a noticeable affect on my physiology and attention.
My right wing caricature lacks detail due to my lack of exposure.
