Listening to commentary on Fiona Hill's testimony yesterday, I think many people are missing that, while she was laser-focused on cutting through the nonsensical Repub use of Kremlin conspiracy as a defense, she also criticized Dems for falling for other polarizing narrative.
In other words -- chaos means chaos. Narratives were prepared for all eventualities, targeted all groups during 2016 and onward.

This is now so systemic that we must all be highly focused on how our actions fray the weakening fabric of the nation.
Hill specifically cited anti-fracking narratives and environmental issues as a subject the Kremlin has used to deepen divides here while advancing their own interests.

She agreed that HRC attacking the electoral college also helps erode confidence in elections.
Hill offered commentary on "the narratives target us all" in response to Schiff saying the Russians only helped Trump in 2016. Hill's response to this came because that is not a true statement. Kremlin info ops also amplified (and still do) Bernie & narratives that divide Dems.
Her point was, overall, that everyone uses talking points of "Putin wants chaos" and "the Kremlin works to deepen divides" -- but we're mostly still in a mode -- both sides -- where we believe that means the other guys and not us. Our side is the ivory tower. No. Nope.
Additionally, the work of seeing thru this fracture, rebuilding nation will require acknowledgement by everyone that we have all be jumping when the Kremlin asks how high.

She also made point that American actors/platforms are now parallel to/integrated in Kremlin narratives.
