1) Totally awesome that @alivitali describes Warren as still surging and Bernie as about where he’s always been while reporting on MSNBC when neither of those things are correct. Gonna have a lot of clips most likely as CNN and MSNBC are not covering Bloomberg’s entry well
@alivitali 2) Already seeing MSNBC moderators ask if Wall Street and Bloomberg are scared of Warren, while pretending Bernie doesn’t exist despite one of the people being interviewed being at a Bernie event and I’m just getting started.
@alivitali 3) I’m going to start with CNN tho, and their coverage has been pretty awful themselves. First they act like Bloomberg is automatically some top tier candidate and actually lead some of their shows off on his candidacy. This following clip is how it’s being framed too
@alivitali 4) 2 pm hour of CNN, in the second entire segment Bloomberg gets, let’s remember that CNN didn’t cover Bernie for over a week on their primetime shows when he announced in February btw, host asks question about Bloomberg thinking the party is too far to the left because of
@alivitali 5) Warren and Bernie and we get a panel made up of just 2 people: some centrist former DCCC person named Molly Mitchell, who CNN simply describes as a Dem Strategist, but a quick google search shows is actually the President of something called HPSinsght, and what is HPSinsight
@alivitali 6) exactly, why it describes itself as a “public affairs consulting firm combining economics & evidence-based communications to improve policy & commerce”. So she’s president of an economics consulting firm. And then we get another Dem Strategist named Adam Green. And who is
@alivitali 7) Green... just the co-founder of a group called the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC), a group that has already endorsed Elizabeth Warren for President. This conflict of interest was of course never brought up tho.
@alivitali 8) And big shocker, we have the economist consulting firm person talking up a big game for Bloomberg the money guy, while the Warren endorser ignored the question about Bernie and Warren and says Bloomberg is the human embodiment for Warren’s case to be president. No really.
@alivitali 9) I broke it down into 3 clips. And no saying the name of a group isn’t good enough when they’ve endorsed a candidate.

part 1
@alivitali 10)
Part 2 which btw is a difference between CNN and Msnbc as at least CNN will Show a Bernie clip, but you will notice the panelists were once again saying Bloomberg entering is a good thing for Democrats
@alivitali 11) I’m skipping part 3 because it doesn’t add much. Btw we had Bennett getting another interview on cable news during the 3 pm hour
@alivitali 12) CNN also interviewed their politics and business corespondent Cristina Alesci on 3 separate occasions within a 4 hour span and all you need to know is that she’s a CNBC person who obviously gives Bloomberg way too much credit.
@alivitali 13) And now we have Enten on, and he actually mentioned Reuters, tho he called it Ipsos who they partner with, so apparently CNN does actually know that Reuters polls exist, they simply choose to pretend they don’t know most of the time
@alivitali 14) They even showed a list of favorable and unfavorable ratings and although they didn’t mention it at all.... look who has the lowest unfavorable rating...
@alivitali 15) But lets get to Fox News for Centrists’ coverage today. They don’t mess around and within the first 6 minutes I see them lying.
@alivitali 16) This is the same network that has spent all year telling their viewers that Bernie is fading, he’s falling, he’s getting his lunch eaten, etc, etc. and now that he’s actually surging a bit they are back to what they should have been saying back then which is that he was
@alivitali 17) was pretty steady all summer. He’s up this Fall tho and anyone saying he isn’t, is lying.
@alivitali 18) And because this is MSNBC the segment was then followed by a panel of 2 made up of a centrist borderline DINO in Chris Lu and a freaking Republican in Susn Del Percio who for some reason wasn’t even identified as a Republican consultant in this segment despite her usually
@alivitali 19) being identified as such, and of course they both thought Bloomberg had really good chances. But seriously, MSNBC is going to start hiding their a Republicans as just “MSNBC political analysts” now?
@alivitali 20) For those keeping track at home, they spent the first 15 minutes all on Bloomberg before talking about impeachment or even RBG...
21) and yes of course they promoted the weak cold opening from SNL last night while only showing sound bites from the skit of Warren, Klobuchar, Biden, and Bloomberg as apparently they need to erase Bernie from SNL skits in addition to their usual news coverage.
22) Actually I take that back, they showed SNL making fun of Bernie‘s heart attack because that’s the only thing their viewers are actually supposed to be reminded about when it comes to Bernie.
23) Oh wow, we actually got a breaking news graphic at 1:40 as they actually covered Faiz’s comments about Bloomberg, tho they switched to a more general look at all candidates vs Bloomberg wI think a minute of the supposed breaking news
24) we did get an interview with supporters at Bernie’s rally which might be the first time MSNBC has interviewed people at a Bernie rally in a month. But the segment was then absolutely ruined by the following panel from hell.
25) A Bernie-Hating Hillbot, a Dino who got his but unseated by AOC, and a Republican strategist that msnbc keeps bringing on to talk about Democrats for some reason.
26) I almost fast forwarded thru the panel as I knew it was going to be painful to watch, but then I remembered that these kind of segments are why they pay me the big bucks after which I remembered that I’m not getting paid and am just a glutton for punishment/stupid apparently
27) All things said, the panel wasn’t as bad as it could of been, but all you need to know is somehow Joe Crowley was the most like able/ least hacky of the 3.
28) They thought Bloomberg entering was either fine or a good thing. I think all of Bloomberg’s supporters might actually work for cable news and Wall Street. They keep saying his commercials are just anti-Trump despite the ad he released today being all about himself
29) And look it’s apparently a 2 person race between Warren and Biden again...
30) 2 and 3 pm hours were more of the same tho nothing especially egregious. Weird segment on Gen Z at 3:45 which makes 2 days in a row where MSNBC talked About young voters, never mentioned Bernies support with them in either segment tho.
31) I mercifully didn’t record the 4 or hour so I can skip to Politicsnation at 5 pm and they were talking about Bloomberg but got impeachment centered after supposed breaking news which saved us from what could of been an even worse panel than the one mentioned before.
32) God knows I don’t want to listen to Capeheart who hates Bernie and starts conspiracy theories about him not being in pictures that he’s in and Hugh freaking Hewitt who is almost too right wing for even MSNBC... almost
33) And I spoke to soon as after doing an interview with Kamala Harris and the guy from Pete’s town who endorsed Biden over Pete, we got the same panel from hell talking Bloomberg and 2020 in general and at this point I’m legit annoyed. I thought I was safe..... I thought wrong
34) And we get this gem from Hewitt who is apparently not only full of crap but stuck 2 weeks behind in the news cycle...
35) Hugh’s analysis is of course pure propaganda. Let’s look at the most recent poll btw....
36) Also because PoliticsNation can be a little slow on picking up the msnbc memos, they became the first msnbc show I’ve seen to show a real clear poll average since Bernie passed Warren which only made Hewitt look even more full of crap, tho RCP is itself garbage.
37) During the 6 pm hour on CNN we had more of the same Bloomberg coverage tho at least this time they finally had 2 panelists who weren’t pretending Bloomberg actually has a chance. I’ll add the 7 pm hour of CNN and Kasie DC later, but I’m done for now.
38) No Bloomberg/2020 coverage during 7 pm hour on CNN so Just Kasie DC left to watch and then mercifully I’ll be done
39) Nothing of note during Kasie dc other than Booker being interviewed and giving a pretty bad answer on Israeli settlements. I did almost choke to death while watching it tho as I tried to eat some chicken and failed at multi tasking
