At the very least, the Andrew Neil interview will ensure another 24 hours of negative coverage focussed on Corbyn and anti-semitism. Not good when negative views of Corbyn and perceptions he is extreme are one of Labour's main problems in this campaign
The issue was bound to come up given this morning's intervention so Team Corbyn had plenty of time to prepare their response. Amazed that what I just saw is the best they could come up with.
I doubt that many will see the interview directly, but a lot more will hear clips on the news reports tomorrow. OTOH, its not likely to change many minds and is likely to be a distant memory by the time the week is out. Main cost is likely the opportunity cost:
Lab have been getting a bit of traction in the polls since the weekend. This may stall things for a day or two.
