I am so glad to see that institutions (libraries, museums, etc) are slowly recognizing the importance of digitizing their archives and making them available in the public domain.

This is so important and can impact the education of so many people.
Of course, it is not an easy process, but progress is being made. And that makes me very, very excited.
This will benefit historians, authors, teachers, artists.

I'm sure many, like me, have given up on amazing projects because they wouldn't be able to pay the ridiculous fees that we currently have to pay if we want to license a single image.
(Sometimes, images that should have been in the public domain for ages, by the way)
