Parents for Choice in Education is a well known anti-LGBTQ group with direct links to John Carpay. Remember him? The one who compared the rainbow flag to the Nazi swastika.
LGBTory are notorious for rainbow washing conservative policies and are rabidly anti-trans. They have ZERO credibility in the larger LGBTQ2 community.

#Bill207 is now back before committee. Dr. Ramona Coelho is speaking on behalf of UCP & defending conscience rights. What she fails to recognize is that doctors hold the power and must act in the patient's best interest, not their own - even if it makes them uncomfortable.
Why is this doctor from Ontario speaking about a Bill that impacts Albertans? Context is different. Culture is different. Politics are clearly different.
There is no centralized intake for trans patients in Alberta, like Ontario. This doctor has no idea what she's talking about. Clearly, this shows the danger of Bill 207.

A doctors' conscience has little place in the delivery of modern medical care.

A 2014 report found that 70% of transgender people experienced discrimination while seeking health care.

The 2015 US Transgender Survey found that 1/3 of trans people who saw a health care provider in the past year had at least one negative experience, such as being refused treatment or experiencing harassment.

Morning! I'm back at the UCP AGM this morning listening to some governance policies for the party. Up for discussion now: things dealing with inter-party regulations. There's going to be some protests here today as well, hearing it'll be in an hour or so. #ableg #abpoli

The Alberta nurses & support workers that helped us care for Mom were absolutely phenomenal caregivers. We were so lucky to be able to count on them during that terrible time. They were also overstretched & overworked #ableg (3/?)

adopt curriculums that provide their children with the most economically and socially valuable knowledge and skill
sets prior to entering the workforce or post-secondary education" /2
Is troubling with respect to curriculum. Currently every province has a provincial curriculum and schools are legally bound to deliver that program of studies. Allowing schools to set curriculum would be super problematic. /3

Society pays taxes for a reason. Those dollars collected are designed to go to needed infrastructure, repair & maintenance as well as programs that save us money in the long run and make our society a better place to live. It's literally the governments JOB to spend those $$ 2/
