Allied Wallet is also a customer of Germany's Wirecard. Wirecard has it's own set of scandals going on as well. I won't get into another rabbit hole about them right now, but here's one thread on them re suspicious transactions in Asia.
If you read through this FTC complaint against Allied Wallet and Khawaja, and you can see that some in this complaint were also in the above indictment, such as Mohammad “Moe” Diab and Thayne Whipple.
The complaint goes over a bunch of other fraud allegations against Allied Wallet, Khawaja, and company. Mostly about setting up shell companies, evading risk controls and not monitoring for fraud.
Allied Walllet & Khawaja were previously investigated by the FBI for processing illegal online gambling proceeds.
Not only that, but they also helped create shell companies in the UK for business to access Malta and Macau banks. 🧐
