Conservative trade policy appears to be don't give any other country their major asks (e.g. food standards or NHS access for the US, access for fishing or regulatory alignment for the EU), don't spell out UK asks, but still have deals in place by 2022.

Anyone spot any problems?
Why Brexit dominated domestic politics for 3 years - Government reliance on a divided Conservative Party for votes, refusal to reach out across parties.

Easy to see this happening again if interests like farming or fishing lobby local MPs effectively.
Perhaps a Conservative majority and formal Brexit means former remainers in all parties support UK government trade deals. But equal chance that both leavers and remainers splinter and making decisions on future relationship becomes no easier than it has been.
After all we've been talking about models for a post-Brexit UK relationship with the EU for nearly four years and it still isn't clear that any realistically achievable agreement will carry majority support.
Still I'm sure we can rely on PM Johnson to stand up tough against domestic and foreign negotiating partners and... oh, he doesn't want to do what might be a difficult TV interview...
